Privacy
Free search needs no account and we keep nothing. When you pick a category, your browser sends your approximate location (a latitude and a longitude) to our server once, so we can look up what is near you. We do not store it, and we do not keep a record of what you searched for. Opening a place in Google Maps or Apple Maps hands you to those apps, which have their own policies.
If you create an account
An account exists for two things: keeping the locations you pin, and holding credits for Paid search. We store your email address, and for each place you pin, a name and a location — nothing else. Not the address, not who lives there, not when you go.
You choose the names. If you would rather not label a place "Mum's home", call it something only you would recognise — it works exactly the same.
We do not sell or share any of it, and we do not build a profile from it. Ask us and we will delete your account and everything in it: hello@grandfieldmedia.com.
Paid search
Paid search sends the same latitude and longitude to Google Places, which returns live opening hours and ratings. Google's own privacy policy applies to that. We keep a line in your credit ledger saying a search happened and what it cost — the category and the day, never the results.
Payments
Payments are handled by Razorpay. Card and bank details go to them and never reach us; we keep the amount, the credits bought and an invoice number.
We email you a six-digit sign-in code when you ask for one. That is all your address is used for unless you tell us otherwise.
